Why baking and blogging don't mix...

I baked some bread today. After putting the bread in the oven to rise, I decided to catch up on all of your wonderful blogs. I promptly forgot about the rising bread, completely engrossed in other people's lives. The result is huge loaves of bread, stuck together at the sides and barely able to fit in the oven. (The loaf on the right is the only loaf of "usual size.") Lesson learned: don't bake and blog!

  3. So, not to be one of those people who knows how to do everything right...I put two loaves in the fridge to raise over night so that I can let all of the loaves raise really big, then I just bake two at a time so I don't have too full of an oven. Plus, raising the bread in the fridge gives better texture, but sometimes I don't have the patience for that.
